Yoga For Young Athletes

What it is:

Recovery & Reset is a recovery-based yoga class designed specifically for young athletes. We blend gentle mobility, stretching, breathwork, and simple mindfulness so athletes can release tension, improve body awareness, and build the mental skills that support performance.


What Athletes Will Learn:

  • How to downshift their nervous system and calm their mind
  • Breathing tools to manage stress and improve focus
  • Mobility and flexibility that supports strength training and sport demands
  • How to respond with control instead of reacting on autopilot
  • Better posture, balance, and coordination through mindful movement

Who it's for

Student athletes in any sport who want better recovery, less tightness, and stronger mental reset skills. Great for in-season stress, off-season training, and athletes who feel “wired” all the time.


What to expect in class

  • A welcoming, low-pressure environment
  • 1 Hour of Gentle yoga flow + deep stretch + mobility work
  • Breath work you can use before games, after practice, or at school
  • A short reset at the end to lock in the calm

-Ages: 13-18 (waiver must be signed by a parent)
-Day/Time: Sundays at 5PM starting Sunday 2/15
-Length: 60 mins
-Location: The Network Yoga
-Cost: $15 per class or buy 5 Classes for $50


What to bring:  water, comfortable clothes, optional yoga mat


Parent note:  athletes should be able to follow basic instruction and move independently

Jon Mahoney is a 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher, weightlifter, and dad of four who specializes in helping active people move better, recover smarter, and stay mentally grounded. With a background in teaching and working at ESPN, he knows how to coach, communicate, and keep athletes focused under pressure.


Jon’s style blends athletic movement with deep recovery work, making his classes perfect for teens who train hard and need better mobility, breath control, and nervous system reset. His laid back, non judgmental vibe helps young athletes feel comfortable, confident, and supported while they build both physical and mental strength.
